Our Story
Mokksh Village did not begin as a project.
It began as a quiet longing — for a different way of living.
The Land
Set in the quiet hills of Kanthalloor,
the land is surrounded by forest, mist, and flowing water.
It is this landscape that shapes the rhythm of Mokksh Village.
The Beginning
In 2009, a walk through rain and forest led to a hidden waterfall.
There was no plan then — only a quiet moment,
a feeling that stayed long after the journey ended.
Years later, that feeling returned,
asking to be built into something real.
The land was not found by chance,
but returned to over time.
Visits became longer,
the connection deeper,
until the idea of leaving it as it was
no longer felt enough.
What began as a place to return to,
slowly became a place to build.
Not quickly,
not all at once,
but step by step —
in a way that respects the land it stands on.
The Becoming
Mokksh Village is being shaped slowly and thoughtfully.
A small number of stays,
spaces for quiet reflection,
and gatherings that bring people back to simple ways of living.
It is not built to escape life,
but to reconnect with it.
To the land,
to stillness,
to the rhythm that often gets lost in everyday living.
This is only the beginning.
